Nice 100% WW2 Issue early war wool shirt as issued to a Sgt of the 15th US Airforce. It has some minor wear due to age, see photo's. It was certainly worn in the field, see photo's, but in nice condition, except for a worn through place in the neck. The label is there but cannot be read anymore. There are some laundry codes which could be used to track the original owner perhaps. Overall a great shirt - please see attached photo's for an important own impression; they are part of the description. Established on 1 November 1943, Fifteenth AF was a United States Army Air Forces combat air force deployed to the European Theater of World War II, bombing Europe from bases in southern Italy and engaging in air-to-air fighter combat against enemy aircraft.A very nice and 100% original shirt of a famous US Airforce unit that engaved in heavy fighting above Italy and other european regions!
