A special double number of the Illustrated London News on the Death of King Edward VII. published May 14th 1910. Cover illustration of people of the world bowing their heads at a memorial to Edward VII. The pages are full of photographs and reproductions of artworks around the death of the king. Also includes tributes (including a major piece by G.K. Chesterton, and illustrations and photographs of the new King (George V). 57 pages of the supplement itself and 4 pages of further material wrapped around it and paginated 1-4. The cover has some closed tears to the page edges, and a little loss to the spine. Some light foxing to the page edges. Some of the middle pages have seperated from one staple. Edward VII (1841–1910) was King of the United Kingdom and dominions (etc. etc.) Known as Bertie, he was the Prince of Wales for most of his life, during this time he was largely excluded from political influence and came to personify the fashionable, leisured elite. He was only king for 9 years.
